Proposed Rebrand for the TBM Council
A proposed rebrand for the technology business management nonprofit organization.
The Challenge
The Technology Business Management Council had spent the past 12 years building the standards and practices that thousands of companies use to manage their technology investments. As the Council moved to become a completely independent, non-profit organization, they needed a refreshed brand to visualize this new phase.
The Solution
I collaborated closely with members of the Council to develop a refreshed brand that defined the TBM Council as a modern and relevant organization in the tech space.
A modern wordmark was developed for the TBM abbreviation. The wordmark uses angles and perspective to show how the technology business management discipline allows practitioners to view their technology investments from new angles and perspectives..
The TBM nonprofit organization has several different groups and events within their umbrella. I used the consistent TBM wordmark with standard lockup text to create a consistent look for the different parts that comprise the organization.
The angles and shapes from the wordmark were used to create a visual pattern that consisted of abstract shapes and icons to represent the financial information and pieces of data that are collected and organized using the TBM methodology.
Pull-up banners, t-shirts, and tote bags were designed so the TBM Council could present a unified presence at trade-shows and events.
Templates for social graphics were designed so the TBM Council could keep members updated of the latest news, events, and blog posts.
